My sister in law makes little octopusses (see picture below) for premature babies. The babies stay in an incubator and playing with the octopusses probably reminds them of the umbilical cord. The babies become quiet, their heatbeat rythm and respiration become more regular and the oxygen level in the blood increases. I am not a doctor, but this looks good to me. All octopusses get a label with their name and a short poem. I made this drawing to make the labels even more attractive.
