Yesterday I went to the first try-out of Nasrdin Dchar’s play ‘DAD’. Nasrdin Dchar tells about his moroccan roots and what it means to live in an increasingly populist Netherlands. Big, weighty subjects like ancestry, identity, racism, fear and Muslim hate are treated in the play, which, nevertheless, is full of humoristic, tender and hopeful moments. Fear and worries are tangible, the message of hope and unity is powerful. An impressive performance, that has to be seen!
