A new comic for the economist magazine ESB. In the magazine is an article about local economy: it is larger if a community succeeds in attracting high-educated, creative people. My translation: 1) Man: I’am looking for a place to live that bubbles with activity, creativity and energy. Where I feel a vibe! VZ: O-oh. 2) VZ: Nothing ever happens here. Yearly highpoint is the arrival of Sinterklaas (the dutch Santa). The only creative guy around here is my neighbor. He makes jigsaw puzzles of famous paintings. 3) VZ: But if you wanna have a fine diner, we have Joop’s Snack Corner. Man: O-kay. See you… 4) VZ: I am just keen on peace and quiet.
Een strip voor het economenblad ESB, bij een artikel over lokale economieën. Lokale economieën zijn groter en dynamischer als gemeenten er in slagen hoog-opgeleide, creatieve mensen aan te trekken.
