Van Zanten comic for the economist magazine ESB. It illustrates an article about the difference of food choices of higher and lower educated people. As often, the joke is partly based on dutch wordplay, but I hope you will understand… My translation: 1) Producers and retailers make it more and more difficult to choose for healthy food. 2) If a product contains 0% fat, you can be sure it is full of sugar. If it has no sugar added to it, it is sweetened with concentrated fruit syrup. 3) I choose a supplier with an honest story. 4) VZ: Two croqets, please. On the big sign: Fat tasty, tasty fat (in dutch the word ‘fat’ can mean just ‘fat’ but also – slang – ‘very good’). On the smaller sign: Joops Snack Corner.
