Mijn vrouw en ik waren vijf dagen in Brussel. Wandelen, eten en drinken en ook heel veel tekenen. De eerste dagen warenw at regenachtig, dus tekende ik veel café-interieurs, maar op de derde dag was het droog en maakte ik bovenstaande tekening op de Grote Markt/Grand Place.
My wife and I spent five days in Brussels. Walking, eating and drinking and also a lot of drawing. The first few days were a bit rainy, so I drew a lot of café interiors, but on the third day it was dry and I made the drawing above on the Grote Markt/Grand Place.

We bezochten de fantastische tentoonstelling ‘When we see us’ in Bozar, een expositie van schilderijen van zwarte kunstenaars uit de hele wereld. Kleurrijk, mooi, grappig en ontroerend – de reis waard!
We visited the fantastic exhibition ‘When we see us’ at Bozar, an exhibition of paintings by black artists from all over the world. Colourful, beautiful, funny and moving – worth the trip!

Nog meer zon op het Sint Katelijneplein – ofwel de Place Sainte Catherine uit het bekende lied ‘Bruxelles’ van Jacques Brel – geen dames in crinoline gezien.
