This comic was made for the economist magzine ESB. You can imagine that the Nobel Prize for Economy are a yearly recurrent theme. This year, the Nobel Prize announcement conincided with an agreement of the dutch government with some opposition parties about the budget for 2014. My translation: 1) The Nobel Prize for Economics is awarded to three Americans, for their research of stock markets. 2) The first winner denies the existence of bubbles in the economy, the other one, on the contrary, found an explanation for what causes bubbles. 3) The third one created a mathematical model for stock markets. Who knows he can prove both other winners are both right at the same time. 4) The report of the Nobel committee reads just like the dutch budget agreement.
Deze strip werd gemaakt voor het economenblad ESB. Zoals ieder jaar is de toekenning van de Nobelprijs voor Economie een terugkerend thema.
